Regarding the slowness of HyperCard which has been the subject of
some mailings lately...
Is there a way to turn of the automatic saving of HC2.0 while ones script is
running? I notice that while my current stack is reading and changing fields in a
few other stacks the hard disk is almost continuously going, needless to say the
scripts are very slow. Of particular concern is that I am running a Mac IIci, when I
distribute my stack to people with more humble machines possibly with slower
harddisks will the stack be intolerably slow?
It seems to me that a command to stop autometic saving until the end of the
script would be very useful.
