Hi, I have a HC 2.0 (not 2.0v2) stack that was recently created. I can't open it now, and I thought that someone might be able to give me a little direction on what's wrong with it. Thanks in advance. It is a stack with 2 cards, and has a large card rect (~11"x11", or 792x792 pixels). Each card has lots of paint on it, since 1-bit scanned images were pasted into each from the Clipboard. The stack was fine after it was created and the paint was pasted in. But then it was mailed to me over America Online. After downloading it from within my mail message on AOL, I get a HC error trying to open it on my SE/30 (8MB, big heap space, plenty of memory to HC - no shortage here!). The error is: Can't open stack "<stackname>". File system error -108 The Finder flags and data and resource forks all look okay to me. ResEdit 2.0b2 thought that the file was kinda messed up - it gave me a dialog warning me if I continue. I knew ResEdit had GOOD File System checking when it tried to open files - it found something this time, as expected. The file looks okay to Fedit Plus and 1st Aid HFS, but SOMETHING's wrong... Has anyone run across something like this before? Can anyone help me bring this stack, or at least the bitmaps, back to life? How about error code -108? Even though you have pletny of RAM, I expect your MF memory partion for HyperCard is set at the factory setting orf 1MB. Increase it to 1300-1500 and your stack will open fine. Good luck.
