CAI = Computer Aided Instruction I propose the creation of the newsgroup net.cai. Provided of course that there is enough interest. Its purpose would be the discussion of CAI related matters. For example: the packages written to do cai, people's experiences with them, and discussions on where CAI is to go in the future. The usual procedure seems to be for everyone interested to post to an article in this group voting yes or no for each proposed newsgroup. A more efficient way would be for people interested to reply by mail to the proposee of the newsgroup, and then that person creates it only if there is sufficient interest. Of course, if people feel the creation of a newsgroup has to be discussed, they can always submit an article to net.news.group anyway. PS. What determines `sufficient' interest for a newsgroup to be created? Please send MAIL to: -- Sean Byrne Memorial University of NF St. John's, Nfld UUCP: {allegra, ihnp4, utcsrgv}!garfield!sean

I think net.cse, which is relatively unused, suits this purpose Adam
