[food for line eater] I just got the new MSDOS assembler package (3.00) which does seem an improvement on the last version (e.g. better documentation, improved librarian, 186/286 support, symbolic debugger, simple MAKE). The linker error messages mention building overlays by using parentheses round items in the command line. There is nothing in the LINK documentation about this, but I tried it and it builds all kinds of stuff. Where can I find out more? I realise this may be documented in (say) the C manuals but I really want details of the nuts and bolts as it would all be useful for a compiler I am writing..... Thanks in advance, Bob Eager (...!mcvax!ukc!rde)
