I'm posting this message for a student who's working on a Hypercard 2.0 project for me. He's been trying to get the "open printing" command to work (he's using 2.0v2 by the way). When he issues the command things seem OK, but when he first issues a "print ...." command, he sees a dialog saying "the currently open print job will be closed to carry out the new request" even though there's no other print stuff going on. The other problem appears to be that unless items are put on the same print command (using copious amounts of option-returns) the separate print commands come out on separate pages. I thought the idea of open printing was to keep all print output on the same page? Any ideas? (incidentally, we don't have the script guide that you get when you buy HC 2.0 - we just got the 5 disk upgrade set, so we're working from "Hypercard 2.0: The Book".
