Posting for a friend who is a psychiatrist working in the neurophysiological department of our university clinic. He has written a test in hypercard to see how fast children can see whether two paires of icons are the same or different. This means each pair of icons is presented for the shortest possible time. He managed to get it down to appr. 60 millisecs by putting two big white buttons on the screen, then building the icons under those buttons and then removing and immediatly placing back the button to show the pair of icons underneath it. He would like to do this a lot faster. Could anybody tell me (and him) if it is possible to do this in hypercard as fast as the screen refresh rate (appr. 16 millisecs?). If not, I'll have to start digging up my Pascal... Thanks.
