I recently ran into a limitation in HyperCard that I would love to work around. It seems to me, from the programming perspective, that you can only send parameters to XCMDs and XFCNs which do not exceed 255 characters in length, and this is due to pthe conversion functions and procedures. I know it's possible to send a parameter longer than 255 characters since some of the XCMDs and XFCNs I've used and seen before do it. But how can you grab that parameter once you've passed it to the XCMD or XFCN? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please respond, if at all possible, via email. Thanks very much!
