[comp.sys.mac.hypercard] A push too far

Henry.Halff@p911.f421.n109.z1.FidoNet.Org (Henry Halff) (05/08/91)

Is there a limit on the number of cards that can be pushed? I have a
stack that breaks when I push 20 or so cards (the last pop sends me
home) but works fine when I create my own stack (in the push-pop sense,
not in the HC sense).

Yes. The limit is 20, both in HyperCard 1.x and 2.x.

So, the suggestions of the day are:

1. Error-trap the 21st push, and

2. Document the feature in Appendix G of the Hypercard Script Language
Guide.

Thx for the reply
