Attempts to get HC 2.1 up using system 6.0.5 were fruitless; "unexpectedly quit" message every time. Both Apple and Claris said it should work fine. After much swapping of CDEVs and INITs, I finally found the problem: In the system's itl0 resource, it's possible to select the way the date is displayed (YMD, MDY, etc.) and to select the separator between items. For years, I've had it set for YYMMDD, with no separator, and had no problem; HC1.2.5 was perfectly happy. HC2.1, however, won't tolerate this date format! Changing to MM/DD/YY solved the problem. BTW, when the date is set to YYMMDD format, attempting to change the date from the control panel results in impossible date numbers. (And you can't get back to where you started).
