Greetings: I have some 4-bit and 8-bit PICT files that I'm trying to display with HyperCard 2.0's "picture" command. They come up on the screen all right, but from looking at them, it is obvious that the colormap is not set up correctly. Is there a HyperCard way to define the color map to whatever I want? Or is there a XCMD anywhere that would do this? I have a IIci with 8-bit color. First, I need a way to define the colormap to a linear gray scale, either for the first 16 entries, or for all 256 entries; this is for displaying scanned black-and-white photographs in a HyperCard organizational chart I'm developing. Then also, I'd like a way to define individual entries in the colormap at will, for a training stack on color use (RGB and HSL) that I'm developing. Any pointers?
