Organisation : The Scottish HCI Centre, Heriot-Watt University I have posted this question to other newsgroups with some excellent replies (thank you all) but I would still like more - call me greedy ! I am currently working on updating a program which has been developed to illustrate HCI issues using two different automatic teller machines - one badly designed ATM interface and (hopefully) one good one.The idea of the system is for the user to use both of the ATMs and read or listen to comments on some of the HCI issues which come up during interaction. It will be implemented using Supercard 1.5 As a favour I would appreciate it if you could mail me with some of the features which particularly annoy you about ATMs you have used. Like chewing up the card which is your only access to money ! I would also be interested in any features which you particulary like. The work I am doing has the interest of NCR who design a lot of ATM systems for the use of banks and the final system will be used extensively as a demonstration product for courses in HCI and at the Government sponsored Usability Now ! demo lab seminars (for those of you in Britian ). There is no commercial advantage to be gained by me as a result of this work, and no bank or computer manufacturer names will be mentioned - the system is designed to help those who work within the HCI area. I will post the ten most popular dislikes about ATMs when I have received enough answers. Thanks in advance Graeme Muirhead Please send Mail to : graeme@uk.ac.hw.hci
