There is one more method to increase your keying efficiency. Again, most of you probably already use it, so forgive me for going over what is, for you, old ground. For the others, create and use aliases. That is, program your computer to accept certain character strings to mean others. For instance, pn to equal postnews, or m to mean mail, etc. Some commands, of course, are several words long, and thus the stroke savings would be much more significant in those cases, expecially if one is talking about moving to a directory several levels down. For instance, cde might be the alias for cd gloss/concop/example. And so on. Hope this helps someone out that.
