[comp.society.futures] An appeal to sanity...

bzs@ENCORE.COM (Barry Shein) (01/24/89)

Look, this is getting ridiculous.

It's obvious these people send gripes to this list not because they
have any problem but because they think it's an easy way to "cut to
the front of the line", don't be fooled, they're playing with you.

These are not mistakes, these are malicious, selfish acts by mental
infants.

Now my dread is that I will be gone to USENIX for a week or so next
week and, judging on past experience, I'll get back on Monday to piles
of work and probably 500+ mail messages (including errors) to
INFO-FUTURES-REQUEST which won't get cleared out for a week (remember,
I'll have my real work to catch up on also.)

In the current state of affairs someone is going to request a drop on
Friday night and by next Wednesday when it's (guaranteed) not answered
they'll be sending letter bombs hourly to this list trying to make
life as miserable as possible until they get their way.

NOTE: IF YOU'RE OUT THERE AND WILL NEED TO DROP IN A WEEK OR TWO DO IT
RIGHT NOW OR HOLD YOUR PEACE FOR TWO WEEKS.

(that is, if you send it in next week don't expect a reply till the
second week in February, at least one week later, do it now!)

DO YOU HEAR ME?

Of course not...just watch.

Will someone please remind whoever it is that I told them it won't be
answered for several days if it starts ending up on the list? Thanks.
