someone (throopw@xyzzy) asked about this machine : (I am writing this looking at a review) 36 keys, 2x16 char lines (LCD), 15x8x3 Cm. Base system 32K RAM, 32K ROM. Applications : 1. Personal data-bank 2. Electronic diary till year 2000, memo-beep(s) 3. 8-alarm clock, different alarms from the diary ones. repeatable. 4. medium-capabilty programmable calculator Notes : 1. uses special Prog. lang. (OPL) (~Pascal/Qbasic). Machine language "possible, but unrecommended" 2. menu-driven operation extensions : more RAM ("RAMPAKS") more EPROMS ("DATAPAKS") - use as write-once, erasing only possible externally. more ROM - Firmware from the makers, including a small spreadsheet. RS232 interface - note this is extra. SW dev. Env. on the PC ============= So, does this seem like a good "walkman computer" for our time ? (personally - I say, "not quite".)
