(did I mention these already, apologies if I did) An article which is a series of statements on "What Lies Ahead" by such notables as Dennis Ritchie, Marvin Minsky, Grace Hopper, Jack Kilby (inventor of the integrated circuit), Ryoichi Mori, Ray Kurzweil, Jerom Feldman, Terry Winograd, and Charles Simonyl. "Whither the Modem?" by John H. Humphrey and Gary S. Smock. The authors try to predict the future of modem technology, they seem to think we can hit about 120Kb/s. This is also the first issue I saw an ad for Microcom's new modem which claims to do 38.4Kb (V.32, MNP 9.) -Barry Shein, ||Encore|| P.S.
