NORTHEAST DISTANCE LEARNING CONFERENCE

CONFERENCE
Focuses on the application of technologies to turn the
opportunities of distance learing into realities. Come to
interact with national and regional distance learing
practitioners as they share their thoughts on what works,
how it works, and why it works.
SPECIAL FEATURES
THE STAR SCHOOLS - Presentations, via satellite and in-person,
about four major distance learning efforts funded through the
U.S. Department of Education. Each of these multi-state
projects will provide direct student instruction and teacher
training in mathematics, science and foreign languages.
DR. LIONEL V BALDWIN - a leader in developing linkages between
industry and universities and President of the National
Technological University, shares his ideas on how Higher Education
can increase its markets
HAROLD RAYNOLDS, JR. - Massachusetts Commissioner of Education,
offers insights into the future of distance learning in our
educational systems.
DR. PAUL E. RESTA - Electronic Learning Magazine's 1988 Educator
of the Year, and former Chief of Planning, Research, and Technology
at the U.S National Institute of Education, addresses educational
reform and the influence exerted by distance learning.
DR. MARY ALICE WHITE - Director of the Electronic Learning
Laboratory at Teachers College, Columbia University, tells how
