That make two adverts for dial-up human services in this list in one week.

I, for one, had hoped that the mailing lists and netnews that we know and love
would not become INFESTED WITH STINKING ^&@!#$&% COMMERCIALS!!!!!

If everyone mailed a discouraging message to the offending
advertisers, and included (for reference, of course) the advertisement
itself, their mailer could easily go tits-up and we'd never hear from
them again...

Advertisements have no place on this mailing list. People who are posting them
should be politely warned and, if they persist, removed from the list.

The Telepsych postings were at least fairly relevant, since they showed a
new trend, of sorts, that showed a way in which computers might change
or adapt psychoanalytic experiences for some people. The latest ad, however,
was entirely inappropriate, since we all know of BBSs/Online discussion
groups like that, and at this point about the only thing trend-setting about
the services listed in the second ad was the PRICE!!

The people who are posting ads should be reminded that they could very easily
be turned into the net authorities for commercial use of the net, and that
their schools or businesses could be notified with, er, unpleasant results.

So keep the ads in the media where they are appropriate.

Please accept our sincere apologies for having inappropriately posted an
article about our learning community in this newsgroup.

Because this project is a social innovation and our purpose is primarily
educational, we thought some of you might like to know about it. Several
people had suggested that this would be an appropriate place, but apparently
we were misinformed.

Thank you for letting us know clearly and directly that our posting was not
appropriate. We regret any offense or inconvenience we may have caused.
