As part of a Social Implications of Computing course, I am involved in a group project relating some aspect of computing to international issues. Our group has decided to put out a survey over the net to discover the extent of the computer network (Eastern Europe, Asia, etc.), how widely it is being used at the international level, how far it is helping to create the "global village" that is heralded in futuristic magazines, and its possible influence in forming a world government. I am looking for any suggestions from network gurus of how to refine the topic, which newsgroups we should post the survey to, or any further sources of info about global networks. Any other feedback would also be very appreciated. Also, does anyone have info on how I can get in touch with the Electronic Networking Association, which puts out "Netweaver?" Thanx. ============================== kris@wpi.wpi.edu -- George Orwell was an optimist. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ exile
