Has anyone else out there in alt.cyberpunk.land read this
fabulous book? I just finished it, and believe me, if you
liked _Neuromancer_, you will like this. Fantastic writing,
wonderful plot, great universe, hyperbole, hyperbole, hyperbole.
Our protagonist goes from the "real" world to the world inside
the mind, taking *actual walks* through her own mind and other
peoples minds. The scenery is unusual, to say the least, and
is described very vividly.
I won't give away too much plot -- read the book. On a scale of
* to ****, this gets ****. Once I finished the book I wished for
more to read -- I'd have read this book even if it had been double
length. And oh! what I'd give for a set of cat's-eye biogems!
Better than mirrored contact lenses even.
Some favorite quotes (which probably will remain meaningless
until you read the book):
In Mindplay the rules change when they change, and everything
is true unless it isn't.
Some people wanted to be somebody, some people didn't want
to be anybody, some people wanted to be everybody, and some
people wanted everybody to be them.
