News Flash!! Back issues of the special Cyberpunk premiere issue
of Science Fiction EYE are still available!!
Science Fiction EYE is a magazine which premiered last year and
which is truly stupendous. It has many excellent columns and
interviews which alone are worth the price of subscription, but the
reason I mention it in alt.cyberpunk is that the premiere issue is full
to the brim with fascinating cyberpunk tidbits. There are TWO
interviews with William Gibson, an interview with Bruce Sterling, a
column by Bruce Sterling, a transcript of a panel from the SF Research
Association with John Shirley, Jack Williamson, Norman Spinrad, Gregory
Benford, "and the interruptions of David Brin," and, as they say, much,
much more.
I highly recommend this magazine. It's new, it's put out by two guys
doing it on their own time, trying to juggle day jobs, but you'd never
know it to look at the layout. Subscription stuff is below, but if you
don't want a subscription you can also order back issues (e.g. their
truly not-to-be-missed premiere issue) for $3.00 each. You can also
just write for information.
