I am wondering, since all the talk about alt.cyberpunk..... I believe "A Boy and his Dog" qualifies as cyberpunk, but since Don Johnson (the "star" of the movie) has become commercial (a la: Miami Vice), does that disqualify the whole movie as cyberpunk, or just Don himself..... Now remember, the voice of Blood was also in a very bad movie called "The Gumball Rally" (dont tell me THAT qualifies as cyberpunk!!!), but also Raul Julia was in the Gumball Rally, but nobody seems to remember that when they are praising Julia (and that ANOTHER subject I'll take up somewhere else......). By the way, I cant remember the actors name who did Blood. What definitions of cyberpunk are we following today??? Maybe Nancy ("Your Mafia Dollars At Work") Sinatra MIGHT have been considered cyberpunk back when she was popular in the 60's, but no person worth their sense would watch her old video that "VH-1" occasionally plays without reaching for the remote control and changing the channel to "The Prisoner"...... Com'on. It's the old "what I like, you don't" arguement, but that's what cyberpunk is all about.............I hope. (Did I make any sense ????) r-michael@cup.portal.com
