[net.micro] info MASM-compatible cross-assembler

rwh@aesat.UUCP (Russ Herman) (06/06/85)

Does anyone have any experience (preferably) or knowledge of a Microsoft MASM
compatible 8086/8088/80x86 cross assembler running under BSD4.1 on a VAX/780,
or System V on an NCR tower? There's GOT to be a better way than assembling on
a single-user system! Thanks.

Check out this package:

	REX-SMA/186 Structured Macro Assembler Package
(functionally identical to Intel ASM86, which I think MASM is very
	similar to).
	- supports the iAPX 86/88/186/188 and 8087 NDP.

	Systems & Software, Inc.
	3303 Harbor Blvd., C-11
	Costa Mesa, CA 92626
	714-241-8650

We have this assembler but we have not begun to use it yet. We will be
running under 4.2BSD.
