Bluto's right! Psychotic, but absolutely right! We gotta take these bastards. We could fight them with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, this case I think we have to go all out. I think this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. And we're just the guys to do it. ---- Ok, ok. Cross posting to comp.sys.att is not the answer. Especially if people are aware of the fact and kill cross postings :-). I understand that it's AT&T's computers, and they have the right to carry what they want. I totally agree with this. However, Usenet has no specific rules. If I feel like cross posting an article to another group I am only under the scrutiny of only those that forward and read the message. If enough people complain to my site to threaten the revocation of my accounts, fine. It's up to my company to decide if my behavior is inappropriate. Any company that doesn't want to forward my messages is perfectly welcome to do so. But, until lately, Usenet has been relatively free of censorship. Sure, drugs destroy lives. It's only natural that AT&T feel uncomfortable about forwarding messages about growing better marijuana in these anti-drug hysterical days. But lives are also destroyed by unfair drug laws. Plenty of political content and drug warnings came along with the marijuana growing tips in alt.drugs. Like Ben Masel's politically motivated cash confiscation, or the improper scheduling of MDMA, or the discussions about how the Anologue Drug Bill has impaired drug research. Maybe these discussions questioning authority provoke just as much fear in AT&T. I regret my earlier unguided attempt at keeping alt.drugs alive. Comp.sys.att is not the place to move alt.drugs too. Alt.drugs can be best kept alive by cross posting to any appropriate group (as been happening anyway).
