	Bruce Wilton and Carlos Icinkoff of Mechanical Concepts Inc.,
		for development of the Mechanical Concepts Optical
		Printer Platform.
	The engineering department of Arnold & Richter for continued
		design improvements of the Arriflex BL Camera System,
		culminating in the 35BL-4S model.
	Manfred G. Michelson of Technical Film Systems, for the design
		of the first sprocket-driven film transport system for
		color print film processors permitting transport speeds
		in excess of 600 feet per minute.
	John W. Lang, Walter Hrastnik, and Charles J. Watson of Bell &
		Howell for the development and manufacture of a modular
		continuous contact motion picture film printer.

Technical Achievement Awards:
	Moscow's All-Union Cinema & Photo Research Institute's 3-D lab
		for its work over the past twenty-five years.
	Bengt O. Orhall, Kenneth Lund, Bjorn Selin, and Kjell Hogberg
		of AB Film-Teknik for developing the Mark IV film
		subtitling processor.
	Dedo Weigert for developing a miniature, low-voltage Dedo-light.
	William L. Blowers of Belco Associates and Thomas F. Denove for
		the development and manufacture of the Belco/Denove
		Cinemeter.
	Iain Neil for the optical design, Takuo Miyagishima for the
		mechanical design, and Panavision for the concept and
		development of the Primo Series of spherical lenses for
		35mm cinematography.
	Christopher S. Gilman and Harvey Hubert, Jr., of the Diligent
		Dwarves Effects Lab for development of the Actor Climate
		System.
	Jim Graves of J&G Enterprises for development of the Cool Suit
		System.
	Richard Mula and Pete Romano of Hydro Image for development of
		the Seapar 1,200-watt HMI Underwater Lamp (developed,
		with special underwater safety features, for use on the
		1989 film THE ABYSS).
	Dr. Fred Kolb, Jr., and Paul Preo for the concept and
		development of a 35mm projection test film, widely used
		in film theaters across the country.
	Peter Baldwin for the design and Dr. Paul Kiankhooy and the
		Lightmaker Co. for development of the Lightmaker AC/DC
		HMI Ballast.

Medals of Commendation:
	Dr. Roderick T. Ryan, who recently retired as Eastman Kodak's
		regional director of engineering services.
	Don Trumbull, who began his career as a prop maker on THE
		WIZARD OF OZ and is still working in R&D with Apogee
		Productions.
	Geoffrey H. Williamson, who developed the Ultracam, the Wilcam 3,
		cameras for the Imax and Showscan processes, and the
		Image 300.
