A professor here at Tech heard of a neat little device in use at MIT to prevent PC theft. He said that have a little "tilt meter" that fits inside the system unit and broadcasts a radio signal to a receiver in another room. If the PC is tilted (I.E. in preparation for being stolen), its signal changes and an alarm calls the cops to pick up the thieves. Does anyone know the name of the company that produces this device or any similar theft protection equipment? I've seen ads for a thing that makes a loud noise if you unplug the PC from the wall, but we really need something that will call the police, since at night and over the weekends no one will be in the building. Any help will be greatly appreciated. -- Roy J. Mongiovi. Office of Computing Services. User Services. Georgia Institute of Technology. Atlanta GA 30332.
