In the new Scientific American, D.L. Alkon describes some work he has done on biological learning and describes a program called DYSTAL which uses this work to train artificial NN. Unfortunately, he doesn't describe the algorithm. Does anyone have any info on DYSTAL or its training method so that I can include it in my NN software?
