[comp.ai.neural-nets] NN research in Mechanical Engineering

    I am planning to apply for PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, and
neural network is of my research interest (e.g., learning systems or 
manufacturing system applications (system identification, manufacturing
automation. sensor fusion .... etc) rather than robot control itself.
    Recently I have been looking for professors working on these issues. 
So far I found only two professors (Prof. Kim in MIT and Prof. Dornfeld in
UCB), but I am quite sure much more researchers in Mechanical Engineering
have been working on similar problems.
    Does anyone out there give me any information?  If there is enough
interest I will post a summary to comp.ai.neural-nets
