I think this has been discussed recently but I'll ask again. I am taking an NN course and one of the requirements is a semester project. My group and I came up with some halfway decent ideas. One idea is to do some sort of pattern recognition in a landscape, such as finding a road in a scene where the road may be hidden in some way but the ANN would still detect it. Has this problem specifically been done? What kind of variations have been done on this kind of problem (I assume many!)? Can anyone point me to some references to this problem and any research that may have been done on problems like these?
