Greetings,

Glad to see other people working in the same area. I enclose a small
collection of papers concerning Connectionist Knowledge Based Systems/
Knowledge representation in Neural Networks. As far as generation of
explanations from neural networks are concerned, the most noted are Gallant
and Saito but I would like to hear of any others looking into this topic.

I am researching into the construction of a "Shell" for a Connectionist
Knowledge Based Systems, as a project for my PhD. Hopefully to incorporate as
much as possible the functionality and issues found in conventional symbolic
expert systems, using a incremental modular approach to network construction
and to investigate the integration of conventional symbolic rules within
the system shell to allow the use of well defined rule-based heuristics, as
well as implicit heuristics from examples.

I would be very interested hear from others interested in this area.
