Sorry to bother everyone else with this, but a direct reply got me: > bad system name: python > uux failed. code 68 > 550 <@SEISMO.ARPA:michael@python.uucp>... Host unknown Then again, the info might be useful to other prototypers. Subject: Re: Looking for advice on building 10-12 copies of a circuit board In-Reply-To: Your message of 3 Jul 85 19:06:14 GMT To: "M. Cain" <michael%python.uucp@BRL.ARPA> Michael, I had a design done in semi-automated wire wrap(TM*) a few years ago. I had two copies of a board made, about 18 by 20 inches each. I supplied them a full from-to list from my design software. There were no errors not attributable to my own goofs. The vendor I used was Datacon. Their system consists of a motorized pallet that moves the board around such that the desired pin is at a pointer, and the human operator sticks the wire on it. They also have a completely automated system, but I couldn't use it because I had screwed up my layout so I had things on .050 inch spacing, not entirely on .100 inch grid. Based on this one experience, I recommend them. Good luck, /Rcc * In the whole discussion of Wire Wrap, nobody ever mentioned that "Wire wrap" is a trademark of Gardner Denver. On the other hand, just about everyone slavishly reminds us every time that "UNIX" is a trademark of some fragment of what used to be the world's best telephone system. I hereby disclaim everything said above. And I don't own any Datacon stock, either. clements@bbn.arpa {ihnp4, decvax, linus, ...}!bbncca!clements
