What I'm interested in finding out is if anyone has done a port of McClelland and Rumelhart's "bp" program to the cray. The program implements backpropagation neural nets. They have versions of the program that run on pcs, pc unix systems, and the Macintosh. The program is distributed as part three of their "Explorations in Parallel Distributed Processing" series. I've a user who's been using the Macintosh version, but it's rather slow for some of the applications he's looking at. So, I thought that if there is a cray version available, he could take his existing data sets and run them directly (and have them train in a hopefully more reasonable time period). This is a disclaimer. It is typically witty, a funny quote or significant lyric, or a disclaimer of the author's responsibility for the content of their posting.
