Since october this year I'm working on the subject of automatic identification and counting of phytoplankton. Until now we use the standard multilayer feedforward network and the backpropagation learning rule. Despite of the good results we obtained with this method we are searching for an unsupervised method like the Kohonen's self organizing map for pattern recognition. Therefore I'm looking for public domain software (C or Pascal code) of the Kohonen's self organizing map. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
