My sister and brother-in-law have a TRS-2000 computer on which they are attempting to run the Multimate word processing package. They have added a memory upgrade/graphics card so they can also run Lotus 1-2-3. I say 'attempting to run' because they are having some very weird problems (I have verified this as well). Most notable of these is that the keyboard will lock-up for no apparent reason. The sequences leading to this need not be the same and are not reproducable. I have been able to lock things up with the sequences: a) Insert, Indent b) PgDn, 3 arrow down, Insert c) repeating sequence PgDn, PgUp When they have gone back to the computer store with these problems, either they cannot reproduce the problem or they get the run around from the staff. The staff are especially rude to my sister as they think she is just another dumb br---. As novices to computing, both my sister and brother-in-law are quite disappointed with the performance of the software as well as the RS Customer Service and have asked me for help in resolving the problems. I have little experience with the TRS-2000 let alone Multimate so I am asking your assistance. Has anyone else encountered problems of this type with Multimate on the TRS-2000 and if so were you able to get them resolved? Any suggestions on what the problem might be?
