Tom J. Schwartz 1990 "Fuzzy Systems in the Real World" AI Aug.
1990, pp.29--36.
Rod Taber of the Center of Applied Optics at the University of
Alabama in Huntsville used both fuzzy systems and neural networks
to help identify the dialects of killer whales by using
intelligent hydrophones. The project was done in cooperation
with the Hubbs Marine Research Institute of San Diego, Ca.
Any further information on this project or perhaps others? Of
course I am still interested in any help on my original question.
