The Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Dayton, Ohio is
having the "Neural Networks Applications Workshop" on August 15-16, 1991.
The course includes lab exercises and students will receive a copy of
Neural Works Explorer for the PC for their post workshop exploration in the
world of neural nets. The fee is $400 or $375 for Air Force members.
For more information, contact Dr. Kenneth Melendez, 513-253-3546.

IEEE is having a live satellite videoconference "Neural Network
Applications for the 1990's" on Thursday May 23, 1991 from noon to 3PM EST.
The corporate rate for single-site reception is $1800. But, if you are an
IEEE member and can find another organization near you that is already
paying the fee to receive it, you can probably see it for around $40. Examples
of organizations likely to receive it are NASA and large universities. For
more information, contact your local IEEE chapter to find out if they are
going to get it, or call Dr. Robert Kahrmann at 908-562-5491 or
FAX at 908-981-1686. I have seen these types of videoconferences before and
they compare very favorably in dollar value to similar length tutorials at
AI conferences like IJCAI that cost five times as much to attend.
The program will include talks on:
Present and Future Plans to Build Digital VLSI Circuitry
     Current Applications of Neural Networks
     Current and Future Applications
+ a free one hour video tutorial on neural nets that will be
broadcast on C Band: 10:30-11:30 EST and on Ku Band: 11:00 - noon EST
