Thinking in general, can anyone propose a list of the best graduate schools for neural net research? The factors considered in ranking these schools should be quality of faculty involved, strength of current research projects going on, strength and abundance of relevant coursework, etc. If anyone responds to this, please include reasons for their rankings. Thanks. -- John Dengler, Computer Science Dept., Duke University, Durham, NC 27706 USA ARPA: jdd@cs.duke.edu CSNET: jdd@duke UUCP: decvax!duke!jdd

I'm interested in finding a Ph.D program where I can do neural nets research. The program can be computer science, psychology, neuroscience, etc. - anything where there will be departmental projects and research going on. If anyone would like to propose a ranking of the top schools to pursue neural nets research, I'd be interested in seeing it. Specifically, quality of relevant faculty and abundance of relevant projects, courses, etc. are important considerations for ranking schools.
