During the port of our FREEDOMNET distributed computing system to
Ultrix 2.0 last April, we encountered this bug and developed a patch
to the Ultrix kernel binary using adb. We communicated the bug and
patch to our local salesperson via an SPR, and later hand delivered
it to members of the Ultrix Development Group while at a seminar at
DEC headquarters in May. Evidently it still got lost.

I mentioned to Art Zemon that we had a patch for the bug, and he had
Bill Dallas of Ultrix Support give us a call. Today (10/7) we sent
DEC a small program which demonstrates the bug, and our patches to fix
the bug. We hope this will help DEC resolve this troublesome problem.
