I was wondering if anyone here charges for usage of their Ultrix machine. We (OSU) are just setting up Ultrix on a VAX 8350 and we are going to charge users for their time on the machine. I know that this is not easily done, or completely accurate, but most of our users will be beginners on the machine and hopefully will not be smart enough to outsmart us. Any way, I am interested in knowing things like CPU charges, and logon time charges. Any information will help and will be appreciated. If you know someone that is not reading this list, but does charge, I would like to talk to them too. Also, I have 10 printers set up using LAT and am having problems getting the accounting files to gather any data. I have set up the af in printcap and don't get any errors, but I also don't get any information stored when things get printed.
