The formatter is run as 'test 70' from console odt on the vaxstation 2000. If you have an rd family disk drive, then the formatter identifies it and does the format. Otherwise, it asks a series of somewhat cryptic messages about various drive characteristics. Does anyone know where, or if this is documented? Please respond by mail.
