Has anyone replaced Ultrix's 2.0 sendmail with a sendmail that uses mx records? I have the name server running but after building a new sendmail linked with -lresolv, this version delivers local mail but refuses to accept SMTP connections from hosts on our LAN. I desperately need to have a smarter sendmail than Ultrix's. -- Angel Li University of Miami/RSMAS Internet: angel@miami.miami.edu UUCP: hao!umigw!angel

I've replaced the Ultrix's sendmail with the latest, I thinks is 5.54, semdmail from Berkeley. The thing I did differently is I rebuilt libc.a with the new resolver routines. I also had to play with sendmail config file. Fun stuff! Ultrix really did a hack on sendmail.cf jeff
