We have been having problems with our mail on our Ultrix microvax. This is not a critical problem, nor does it happen with any regularity or reproducability. Rather it occurs once in while, enough to be an annoyance but not enough to ensure rapid repair. The syptoms are shown below. Mail is incorporated, and a "format error" occurs. When the message is shown, it starts with a whole bunch of nulls (^@) and then often several messages are strung together into one file. pineapple>inc Incorporating new mail into inbox... inc: field name "" exceeds 127 bytes ??Format error (message 5) in component 1 5+ 04/26*To: pineapple>show (Message inbox:512) Return-Path: BAD MSG: [a whole bunch of NULLS] [then one or more mail messages strung together] If anyone has had any experience with this problem, I'd appreciate hearing about it, either through personal mail or postings to the net.
