[comp.unix.ultrix] pscomm via DEC LAT on Ultrix

Did anybody try to install a Postscript Printer via a LAT Port on
a Microvax running Ultrix (current version: 2.2) ?

The Transcript interface "pscomm" establishes two way communication to the
printer for various staus messages, which works fine using a
RS232 interface. In case of a connection to a DEC terminal server
"pscomm" fails, because any read from the printer device yields an EOF.
Output to the printer is ok.

Is there any way to establish two way communication via LAT on Ultrix ?

Ultrix lpr uses an undocumented system call "lat_connect", which creates
a socket for communication via LAT.
Is there some information available on lat_connect ?

Any hints will be very helpful.
