Reply-to: stern@imagen.UUCP (Martin Stern) Hello Everyone, I was hoping that someone on the net might be able to help me out. I have Ultrix V1.1 installed on my microVax and have been recently been rebuilding the kernel. After I built my last functional kernel, I backed up the system and saved all the files in /usr. Shortly thereafter, none of the kernels I built would boot !!! I tried restoring /usr and that didn't help, then I also restored the files in root and that still didn't help...when I tried to extract the Binaries from the tape to verify that the problem was not in the binaries, I found that the tape was no longer readable!!! So I seem to be stuck. I do have a good working system, but if I should have to modify the system for any reason, I'm dead. Also, this version of Ultrix is so old that I doubt that I can get it from DEC any longer. So I'm trying this as my last shot. Is there anyone out there that can e-mail me the Ultrix V1.1 Binaries ???? Or, if you have a tape I can borrow to copy, I would really appreciate the help.
