This is an urgent request for information, from anyone who has information
regarding the speed of the rdump program on Ultrix 2.2.

Our current set up is as follows:

         ________ _______________
        | | | | |
        | Q5 | | Q5 | TU81 |
        |MicroVax| |MicroVax| |
        | | | | |
        |________| |________|______|
           | |
           | |
        ------------------------------------------------------- Ethernet

Both systems are running Ultrix 2.2.

My problem is that using the rdump program, the backup speed is SLOWER going to
the 6250 bpi streaming TU81 than it was when we backed up to the 1600 bpi
start/stop TS05.

If anyone can suggest a way of speeding this process up, (Note: there is no free
disk space for caching), I would like to hear from you.

For information, I attach our ethernet loading statistics:

Utilization: 2.2 %
              218.0 kbits/s
              273.0 frames/s

Collisions:	5.136E-3 counts/frame
