[comp.unix.ultrix] Ultrix 3.0 source

maj@cl.cam.ac.uk (Martyn Johnson) (05/22/89)

I have just received my Ultrix 3.0 source tapes. Much to my surprise
the distribution contains only VAX related code, and nothing at all
pertaining to the MIPS machine.

Two questions:

1. Is there a separate source distribution for the MIPS-based machines?
2. Does anybody know WHY it isn't all together?

1. There is a separate source distribution for the PMAX, though I don't
	know if it's available yet.

2. It's not all in one place because they came out at different times,
and some parts are not quite identical (and, no, I don't have
the list of what isn't, but most of the changes are tiny).

I suspect (though I don't speak for Digital) that this will not be the
case at some time in the future.
