Hi: I'm interrested in knowing if an application exists(or will exist) that will allow me to "graphically" define a Dialog Box and have it output the apropriate UIL module. If anyone out there has ever created a Macintosh application, you know how valuable the ResEdit program is for creating dialogs, alerts, menus, windows, etc., etc... I can picture in my mind how the UilEdit should work. For each type of main widget(i.e. Dialog, Window or Menu, not Labels, Buttons and such) the UilEdit program will create a file with the unique name of that widget which can be #included in the "main" UIL module. While in the UilEdit program, if specifying a Dialog, the user can insert buttons and such where he/she would want them to appear when the dialog is mapped. All sorts of ideas are poping into my head, but for the most part I keep thinking how ResEdit does it and how I would like to have such a thing for DECwindows. If I had the time to write such a program, I would, but unfortunately I have a major project that demands my constant attension and it involves programming in DECwindows, of which I'm a novice at, at the moment. You know how much easier it would be to define Dialogs and such with a utility like I described??? DEC, do you here where I'm comming from?????? Thanks for listening, -franco ################################### ### ######### ##################### # Frank A.
