OK, here's another try, with a little more information... I am experiencing a problem with Spice (both 2g6 and 3) on a VAX 750, running Ultrix-32 V3.0 (Rev 64). I am getting the following error message: *** Arithmetic Exception: Floating point overflow *** Execution terminated Tracing it down a bit, the real problem appears to be corruption of SPICE's VALUE() array, which it uses for data storage. This problem did not occur under Ultrix V2.x. It appears to be a problem within the operating system, as it happens with the binaries which worked at V2.x, as well as with binaries (2g6) built with the current version. Many of our Spice decks cause this to happen. Has anyone else seen this? Do you have a fix for it? Related to this, of course: does anyone know of any memory allocation problems in Ultrix 3.0? Any idea of when 3.1 will be out?
