I know this one is kind of off of the wall, but has anybody personally watched login(1) on ULTRIX 3.0 timeout. I have it running on my console, and unlike BSD 4.2 login, it never returns. "timed out after 60 seconds". If it does, how is it that it knows not to... ie if it is running Xprompter the xcons program on the graphics type consoles??? I have tried it on our LAT terminals, and the tty console....they never time out. I dont have any dialup lines (thank god!!), but I wonder about the possible problems associated with that. Any replys would by greatly appreciated... Guy -- look.... even a test signature.....
