I am trying to link a big program in C on a DECstation 3100 running Ultrix 3.1, however, no matter how I order the object files I keep getting an error from the linker which reads jump relocation out-of-range, bad object file produced There is also some more info as to what address couldn't be jumped to. The later information is not consistent between links, but the functions which can't be jumped to are usually located in the c run time library. Could anybody give me some info as to what this error is caused by and how to correct it. Thanks in Advance Paul Puglia Dept of Civil Engineering Columbia University
