I need an Ultrix 1.2 TK50 boot tape for a Microvax II. Yes, you read that right -- Ultrix 1.2. Our boot tape has vanished (the previous sysadmin had it, but it's gone). Anybody have such a tape to lend or donate? We are fully licensed to have the software... but it's gone. This is URGENT -- this machine is connected to a Pixar graphics machine that NEEDS to be used. The Microvax is dead and needs to be booted from tape so I can reinstall the operating system. The machine is not maintained by DEC, so I assume we can get no (free) help. Plus, 1.2 is no longer supported at all. Just for laughs, I tried to boot Ultrix 2.0 on the machine. It loaded vmunix, found the devices on the bus, and crashed horribly. assume our Microvax is too old to run these later versions of Ultrix. We have no money to upgrade this machine, so don't suggest it.
